Guanajuato, GTO, Mexico
Silver mines and mummies, bells and blind dogs, flirty landlords and mariachis, beautiful weather and friendly locals, daily classes at Spanish school, pozole, guacamole, and wine in the jardin, what more could a mom and daughter need for a break?

Que viva Guanjuato, la ciudad mas hermosa en todo Mexico!
Que viva el jardin, que vivan los mariachis!

Every night
the mariachis gather in the Jardin Union,
They are skipping out of their usual haunts in Guadalajara (four hours by bus)
and
hanging out
here in Guanajuato instead.
More lovely
and
more
tranquil.

The school, Escuela Mexicana,
is on
this street,
it's to the right, not
in the photo,
and
the other end of the street is shown
in the
breadboy
photo
above.

The cavernous opening on the left in the above photo is an exit from one of the underground roads that run through abandoned silver mines.

Linda from Nanton,
one of our classmates,

and with mom and the donkeys.
